Consider Becoming a Social Media Influencer

October 3, 2019 by Tim McMahon

Can’t find a job that is right for you? Or maybe you’re struggling to find a job that fits around your busy lifestyle? Then why not consider becoming a social media influencer? Becoming a social media influencer is easy. Here are some tips to get you started.

What is a Social Media Influencer?

A social media influencer is a person who develops a following of people by sharing things on their social media platform that entertains, informs, inspires and connects them to their followers. The more followers an influencer has, the more money they will earn, and the more brands will be willing to work with them – often giving them free items to test and comment on.

How Do I Become a Social Media Influencer?

You may think that you have to have a lot of money to become an influencer, but this isn’t the case. This is why this can be the perfect choice for people who are unemployed and can’t find a job to suit them. Follow these simple tips and you’ll get your business off the ground in no time:

  • Find a niche – It is important that you are interested in what you’re going to be talking about. The more interesting/exclusive your information is, the more likely you will do well in this business.
  • Choose your social media channels – Think about whether you’re better at writing your content, or whether you’re better at performing in front of a camera. If you are good at a variety of things, then Facebook is a great place to start as you can use a variety of types of media.
  • Have a plan – Plan a few months in advance. Once you’ve prepared what you’re going to say or do, start publishing it.
  • Be Consistent – Choose a style and content that is “You” so when your followers arrive they know instantly that it is your channel and what to expect.
  • Don’t stop – Once you’ve begun, it’s important that you continue producing media along the same lines. Adding new things consistently will get people to keep coming back.
  • Work with others – Contact different brands and people in the industry. Exchange likes with them, talk to them and ask for their opinions.
  • Grow – This is the most important part. Share your page, invite others, visit other forums and groups linked to your industry and let them know who you are.
  • Promote yourself – Share your content as much as you can and get your friends and family to help if you can. The more people that see your posts, the bigger your following is likely to be.

Do I Need to Set Up an LLC?

Setting up an LLC  is not mandatory but it can give you an edge over your competition because it makes you look more professional. But the biggest advantage of an LLC is that it protects your personal assets from company debts and lawsuits.

If you follow the tips above, then your social media following will soon grow and more people will tune in to listen to what you have to say. The community will decide when you’ve made it as an influencer, but by working hard and putting in the time, you will soon see your efforts rewarded.
