No Work Experience? Here Are Some Interesting Job Possibilities

January 19, 2022 by Tim McMahon

Looking for work can be daunting. Even when lots of job openings seem available, you might quickly discover that many of them have educational and experience requirements you don’t have. Fortunately, you can find work faster if you look into fields of work that require little to no experience.

Grocery Stores

Whether it’s working as a cashier, bagger, or stock clerk, grocery stores need plenty of people to keep food goods and customers moving. The work is simple enough for on-the-job training. It seems like a low-paying position, but grocery stores pay their employees quite well.

Restaurants

Cooks and managers at regular restaurants might need experience. Waitstaff, greeters, busboys, and dishwashers often don’t. Fastfood is always looking for cooks as well. There are often opportunities for flexible schedules and working your way up if you enjoy working where you do. If you find the right place, you may love the environment more than the work and stay for the ones that take good care of you.

Construction Jobs

Finding construction jobs is often one of the easier employments to find. It also involves physical work and the use of basic tools. Specialists and site supervisors oversee the more complicated aspects or hire subcontractors for specific jobs. You don’t need much in education or experience to start here. If you enjoy using your hands, this may be the field for you.

Side Hustle Work With Your Car

If you own a passenger vehicle that meets the proper criteria, you can make money with it. Rideshare services like Uber or Lyft mean you ferry passengers to the places they need to be. If you don’t want people riding in your car, then you can deliver groceries, packages, and restaurant food, so people enjoy convenience at home. Some of these are Uber Eats,  InstaCart, or Doordash.

Customer Service From Home

Many businesses have soured on the idea of having lots of customer service representatives in one big building, nor do they like outsourcing the work overseas. The new thing is having people remote work from their own homes. As long as you have a good online connection and computer, they’ll train you how to handle their phone calls and email inquiries.

Warehousing

Warehousing is usually physical labor involving simple and repetitive tasks. It might seem menial, but some people love simplicity. You can hit the ground running here. Though the tasks may be repetitive, they will vary to some degree helping make things less dull.

Temp Agencies

If all else fails, you can register with a temp agency or an office that provides businesses with short-term staffing. The projects they gather laborers for are usually pretty basic. If any training is necessary, it’s provided.

Finding Work Without Experience Is Possible

While quite a few jobs in the current economy require some combination of education and experience, that doesn’t mean the doors are all shut to those with little to no related experience. If you need work without many credentials to your name, you can get a paycheck.
